Nestled on Westbourne Park Road you'll find The Cow Saloon Bar & Dining Rooms, a true gem that captures the essence of a bygone era while offering a delightful modern dining experience.
On entering The Cow, I couldn't help but feel like I had stepped back in time. The cosy and rustic ambience of the bar downstairs immediately caught my attention. The dim lighting, wooden furnishings, and antique decor transported me to another era, creating an atmosphere that oozed with character and charm. It was absolutely rammed inside creating such a buzzy environment.
One of the highlights of my visit was the impeccable service provided by the waitresses in the dining room upstairs. Their warmth and attentiveness added to the overall experience, making us feel right at home.
We started our meal with crab, which was a fascinating experience for two novice crab eaters like us. We tried the prawns by the half pint, which were delicious, albeit on the slightly smaller side. The Cow also takes pride in its Guinness and oysters, whilst I can't say I had either, I heard rave reviews of both from my boyfriend.
The Cow is also an excellent place to simply have a pint outside and indulge in some people-watching. The lively atmosphere and large crowd create a vibrant ambience that makes it an ideal spot to watch the world go by.
While the menu can be on the pricier side, it is undoubtedly worth a visit, even if it's just for a special occasion.
